Revival!

Revival is coming up in a few weeks for my church and it got me thinking. What could our church be if we saw a real Revival. What could our community be? What could our country be? What would our WORLD be? Can you imagine a community or country of Christians who were on fire for God? A group of people who were 100% dependant on Christ's will and leading for our lives? Can you imagine the power that their prayer would carry to the throne of God daily?

I heard a quote yesterday that really got me thinking. Revival doesn't start with those furthest from God, but with those that are closest to God. For a long time I saw revival as a time that people who were backslidden could repent and for people who were close to remain there or try to get closer. But real Revival starts with those closest to God, becoming transparent with God. Confessing our sins, all of them. For me, as most Christians, this is a hard thing to even think about. But EVERY great revival in history began with people on their knees, confessing sins to God, praising God for what He has done, and asking Him for help and guidance. Friend, I hope that we can see revival. I want revival in my church. Don't you?

For this reason, I am going to start skipping at least one meal a week and dedicating that time for prayer. I think it is a good start and something we all should try. One meal is not much to sacrifice. But we will feel the pain of hunger, and we can count in an honor to sacrifice something for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading, I pray that this could help someone in anyway.
In Christ,
Bro. Steve.
